We're introducing a brand new way for you and your kid(s) to enjoy your favorite books: renting! Pay a one-time $50 access fee (you only pay this fee one time) and rent up to 10 books at a time for only $4/book – as many times as you like! If you decide you like a book enough to keep it, let us know and we'll charge your payment method. Otherwise, just send us back the books you would like to return (all returns are free). It's that simple! 

More details on how it works:

1. Purchase a Rental Credit – this is a one-time fee access fee to the program
2. Rent up to 10 books at a time – orders with more than 6 rental editions get free shipping! (rental books have a distinctive "Rent for $4" label)
3. Enjoy reading for a 10-day rental period, starting when you receive your books
4. Once the 10 day period is over, choose which books you'll be sending back, and submit a return. You'll only be charged for the books you keep (if any).
As soon as we receive your returned books, you become eligible to rent another 10 copies!


We have to get this out of the way:
Standard wear-and-tear of books upon return is acceptable, as we expect these books to be read and loved. However, should a book be returned to us broken, torn, ripped, folded, or otherwise damaged beyond what can be expected, your payment method will be charged for the full amount of the book.

You only pay the $50 access fee once – it simply allows us to set the program up for your account!

We currently limit each customer's rental period to 10 days so that everybody gets a chance to enjoy their favorite books.

One charge, which is collected upon order placement, covers the Rental fee and, possibly, shipping. The second pre-authorization reserves your funds, but is not collected unless you decide to keep all rented books.

We're still working on applying Free Shipping automatically. For the time being, if you are purchasing 6 or more rental editions, we'll refund you the shipping cost as soon as we process your order.
